1. my brother is my best friend. no matter what's wrong, he always makes me laugh.
2. i only agreed to move to florida because of disney world. it's really hot here. and full of annoying tourists.
3. i read the same books over and over and over again. i've read hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy at least 30 times, once out loud. and yes, all five of them. i was bored and poor at the time.
4. i miss driving around long island with nothing but a pack of cigarettes and 7-11 coffee. no plans, no other money, nothing but nicotine, caffeine, and a good friend or two. this will never happen again since i no longer smoke. but that's okay.
5. i still have the rose petals from the first dozen roses awesome husband ever gave me.
6. i tend to over think things. like, really overthink things.
7. i have a terrible problem with telling people 'no'. so i am sort of kind of sometimes a bit of a door mat.
8. i never have forgotten any of my friends, even if i've fallen out of touch with them, and think about them still from time to time.
9. i sold all of my jewelry once to get money for drugs. i'm not proud of it.
10. i sold all of my electronics once to get money for car insurance. that i have less of an issue with than #9.
11. i don't know that i'm 30 years old. i still feel like i'm 17 when awesome husband smiles at me; i still feel like i'm 20 when i listen to less than jake 'hello rockview'; i still feel like i'm 23 when we're hanging out with friends. but i feel about 40 when i wake up hungover (which is very, very, very rare now), and i feel about 60 when my arthritis acts up and i have trouble getting off the couch.
12. i want to write a book about my life. i think it would sell rather well within certain demographics. i envision it being something like a cross between 'prozac nation' and 'confessions of a shopaholic'. but with less shopping.
13. i love playing video games.
14. when i was little, i used to wish my father was dead, instead of remarried and not wanting to pick my brother and i up on weekends. because that way, he just wouldn't be able to pick us up, instead of him CHOOSING not to pick us up.
15. i had my first serious crush on a girl when i was 19.
16. i think that religious differences, and differences in how we as people practice or believe in our religion, cause war and spawn hate.
17. i had a few really, really bad years. lots of very low points, dangerous activities, and participating in things that were really harmful to myself and those that love me. i don't wish these times have never happened, because they helped make me who i am today. and while i'm not 100% there, i think i'm a pretty rad person.
18. i think that 'penis envy' is complete bullshit.
19. i think that ignorance is truly bliss, but then you'd be pretty stupid and miss an awful lot of stuff.
20. i didn't eat my first cheeseburger until i was 22. seriously. i never had cheese on a burger before that. i just figured i wouldn't like it. i did.
21. instant mashed potatoes are one of the best snacks in the world. with pepper and ketchup.
22. i don't like stephen king novels. i've tried reading them, but i really can't get into them.
23. the first time i read the bible from front to back, i was nine years old.
24. my father once bought me a lapdance. of all the things that have driven me to therapy, this is the one thing that i've never been able to come to terms with. i know that i'm very sarcastic, and it's sometimes hard to tell when one is joking in writing. i'm not joking. expect a blog about this eventually.
25. i will always be as crazy as i am, because it is who i am. and while parts of it are not good, or helpful, or even positive, i honestly don't know how much less 'crazy' i can be and still be me.
